The Team

Les

Les Young

After an illustrious career as a telecoms engineer, software developer and entrepreneur Les started broadcasting as a hobby. His ‘Wall to Wall Blues’ radio show quickly grew into a national and international success, so much so that both Les and Wall to Wall Blues were inducted into the American Blues Hall of Fame in 2014.

Through his broadcasting Les met the other key members of Global Entertainment and Media and was amazed at the personalities and the ideas which just came flooding out and decided to become a part of this great enterprise.

When not broadcasting or helping to run GEM Les relaxes by drinking good beer, walking his dogs and building dry stone walls – sometimes all at the same time!’

Les

Jack Cooper

Jack began a career in sales at the age of sixteen, selling to the general public. By the age of twenty-three he switched from an internal sales job to field sales and began to make his way up the corporate ladder.

Two years into his career with Panasonic Consumer Electronics, Jack was promoted and took charge of Key Accounts based in northern England. He consistently grew the business and was responsible for annual sales in excess of £6,000,000. Jack was head-hunted by another Japanese company trading in Field Sports, and his first job was to design and implement a new sales and marketing strategy.

Jack has built his own companies and worked as a consultant to new businesses. Now he brings knowledge and expertise to Global Entertainment and Media. in order to help give exposure to lesser known performers across the full music spectrum.

Les

Bobby Joe Holman

Master of the Harmonica, Bobby Joe has been performing for more than forty years, and happily still does! He has taught, mentored and encouraged beginners and improvers for most of his career and his west coast list of professional musicians, most of which are friends, is vast.

He has produced a host of teaching books and videos improving students’ abilities and enjoyment of harmonica playing. And his energy and lust for life are immense. Sitting still, doing nothing is not for Bobby Joe; as well performing and tutoring, he runs his own radio show and shares his hosting skills with Les Young on our own radio show, Across the Pond.

Now he brings his superior knowledge, experience, ability and by no means least, enthusiasm to the team. His deep desire is to help our performers reach their goals and bring new music to audiences everywhere.
